The evidence is overwhelming: when individuals, couples or families experience problems, conflicts, or transitions that are on-going, psychotherapy can provide support and solutions. But what type of therapy is best?
We provide an array of options that can help you feel better about life soon, and we offer the support to help you move through life's challenges successfully. We work directly with your objectives to design an integrative therapy treatment plan that is unique to your situation.
A key tenet of the way we practice is to integrate empirically validated models of therapy. These include: EMDR, CBT, HUMANISTIC, GOTTMAN, EFT, ACT, and PSYCHODYNAMIC approaches.
We provide 50 minute and 75 minute sessions that fit your needs for frequency of sessions and length of treatment, based on a mutually agreed upon treatment plan.
We will work with you to determine what is best for you. Our fees for a 50 minute session are $175. We provide a limited number of reduced fee session hours dependent on financial need, If you think you qualify, please ask us about the availability!
We accept BEACON PHPC (Medi-Cal) and offer out-of-network superbills for all other insurance providers.
Q. What appointment times do you have?
We typically see clients between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday..
If these times do not work for you, we can discuss alternative times that may be more convenient.
Q. How long does therapy usually last?
This depends on the needs of the client, couple or family. Therapy duration can range from three months to over a year. It is never mandatory to stay in therapy and it is your choice when to begin and end treatment.
Q. How often do I have to come?
The norm is one 50 minute session a week. Depending upon your particular situation and needs, we may meet more or less frequently. For couples, 75 minute sessions once per week or once every other week are an option.
Q. How do I know you are the right therapist for me?
We encourage you to call and ask questions regarding the philosophy of our treatment, or better yet, schedule a complimentary consultation either in-person or on Zoom. We will be more than happy to answer any questions and spend up to 30 minutes discussing your situation in detail at no charge. For teen clients who are often brought in by a parent, we ask them to commit to three sessions before deciding if we are a good fit... this helps parents to reach agreement with their teen to begin therapy, with the idea that they can "keep shopping" for a good fit if they need to!
Q. Do you see adults and/or couples?
Yes. we provide individual therapy for adults, partners, and couples seeking premarital counseling, long term marriage tune-ups, parenting issues and divorce issues, adult ADD and other adult psychological or occupational issues.
Q. I would like to ask my therapist a few questions before coming in. Can I do that?
Sure! We encourage you ask those questions during the free 30 minute consultation or when you are scheduling an appointment. Choosing a new therapist is always an important decision. We encourage you to take your time and find someone with whom you and/or your family feel a connection.
